Course overview
This short course in Effective Stakeholder Management will equip you with the knowledge and capacity to correctly identify and analyze stakeholders, evaluate and prioritize vested interests, and manage relevant relationships in your organization’s business environment. Given the increasing awareness and value of different publics, the knowledge that you will acquire through this course will lend itself to the maximization of results and minimization of problems in creating a sustainable organizational endeavor. The course has been deliberately designed with practical activities to enable you to master the use of a range of tools for stakeholder management.

At the end of this course the participants will be able to:
• Identify stakeholders relevant to an endeavor
• Undertake stakeholder analysis
• Determine stakeholder power on the basis of their relative levels of importance and influence
• Forecast and determine meaningful levels of participation for key stakeholders
• Create win–win outcomes in negotiations, and
• Engage stakeholders, communicate and negotiate for optimal results.

Target Audience
This course is designed for supervisors and managers involved in managing stakeholder relationships.
Training Methodology
State-of-the-art business facilitation methods are transferred by means of short, focused presentations which are followed by experiential learning workshop sessions. In these sessions, the knowledge gained is applied to real-world examples and case studies. Rapid learning of the methods and techniques is achieved by means of group work, individual work, participant discussion, facilitator interaction and constructive feedback.
