Course overview
This course was designed to help participants identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in their environment, recognize emergencies, and make appropriate decisions for first aid care. It teaches skills that participants need to know in order to provide immediate care for a suddenly ill or injured person until more advanced medical care arrives to take over.

• Understand basic cleaning principles
• Use chemicals in the cleaning services environment
Module 2 Ablution cleaning
• Clean toilets and bathrooms
Module 3 Above the floor cleaning
• Clean above the floor surfaces
• Clean windows
Module 3 Textile surface cleaning
• Vacuum dry surfaces
• Remove spots and spillages from carpets and upholstery
Module 4 Hard and resilient floor cleaning
• Sweep floors
• Wet mop floors
• Clean floors using a single disc machine
Module 5 Kitchen cleaning • Clean kitchens
Module 6 Professional service and teamwork
• Provide good customer service in a cleaning services environment
• Participate effectively in a team or group
• Portray a professional image within a cleaning team
Module 7 Environmental awareness
